Nah, ada yang unik dan cukup menarik perhatian warga Majalengka dari rangkaian acara road to Puteri Indonesia 2018. Finalis Putri Indonesia dari Jawa Barat ternyata menggunakan pakaian adat khas Majalengka, yakni Pakaian Simbar Kancana yang diperkenalkan sebagai kostum nasional. Mau tahu kelanjutannya seperti apa? Sebanyak 39 Finalis Puteri Indonesia 2018 melakukan unjuk kebolehan dalam Malam Bakat Seni dan Budaya yang berlangsung di Hotel Grand Sahid, pada Selasa (6/3/2018). Acara ini menjadi rangkaian kegiatan dalam masa karantina yang telah berlangsung sejak 28 Februari 2018.
Malam Bakat Seni dan Budaya itu menoreh kebanggan tersendiri bagi Majalengka. Mengingat finalis Putri Indonesia dari Jawa Barat, Tria Devitasari memakai pakaian adat Simbar Kancana yang berasal dari Majalengka.
Puteri Indonesia Jawa Barat 2018 ini juga mengenalkan sejarah pakaian adat Simbar Kancana melalui akun pribadinya di instagram @tria_devita.
Melihat hal itu, dilansir dari tintahijau.com Kabid Pariwisata Dinas Pariwisata dan Budaya Majalengka, Mumuh Muhidin mengaku bahwa dinas pariwisata Majalengka sangat bangga ketika Putri Indonesia Jawa Barat dengan percaya diri menggunakan baju atau gaun kebesaran Majalengka Simbar Kancana, hal ini menunjukan bahwa gaun ini diakui oleh masyarakat Jabar bahkan Indonesia.

Senada dengan Kabid Pariwisata, Ketua Ikatan Mojang Jajaka Majalengka Deka juga mengaku bangga karena dengan dipakainya gaun khas Majalengka Simbar Kancana menunjukan bahwa Majalengka memiliki kekayaan budaya yang membanggakan, sekaligus bentuk apresiasi terhadap kebudayaan lokal dari Majalengka.
